I recently had my bathroom renovated by NJ Kitchens and Baths, Inc.. I highly recommend this company for your next renovation. I had to move out of my condo for my renovation and that was hard for me to do. However, Andrew Koutoudis, proprietor, and his team: Lydia, Darek and Marion made this project so easy for me. While I was away from my home, they sent me pictures of their progress. I selected my tiles and quartz at the NJ Kitchens and Baths showroom with the help of Lydia, Senior Designer, and Andrew. Then Andrew made me a shopping list for all the plumbing supplies needed for my renovation. The suppliers that Andrew recommended for my purchases were great to work with. Their products were of good quality. I am so glad he made these recommendations. I knew exactly what vanity I was looking for. I gave Andrew a brochure of a 48" white vanity that was similar to what I had in mind. Andrew did the shopping and found a vanity from a manufacturer that he liked. It was even better! The drawers were deeper and it had a beautiful matching mirror. With the quartz top and hardware that I selected from Andrew's showroom, the vanity looks beautiful. Along with the wall shelves that Andrew suggested, I have so much storage space. I added some decorative baskets and small vases. Darek and Marion have an excellent work ethic. They work hard and diligently. Even with a supply issue they stayed on target. A small plumbing part had to be replaced at the very end of the project and Darek replaced it on the morning of the 4th of July before I returned home so I had a functional sink. I moved out on June 10th and returned on July 4th. Their work is amazing! My bathroom is absolutely beautiful. My neighbors were amazed with the transformation. Throughout the process, Andrew and his team were very accommodating and very reasonable about the additional costs, considering the scale had changed so much. We even tweaked the kitchen design once the cabinets were installed, and Andrew didn’t blink an eye; he understood why we wanted the change, and it was addressed in a very quick turnaround time once the cabinetry arrived. Darek is a true master carpenter, which is what you need in these old homes. He made modifications on the spot in the kitchen to adjust for garbage disposals, etc. You know the work is good when another plumber visits and complements the work done. Even the town inspector was impressed and couldn’t believe the staircase to the attic was newly added; he thought it was part of the original house design. As I told Andrew, he can use me as a reference any time, and I’m happy to have people come over to see his quality of work. My wife and I do not hire a contractor without a good deal of research. Plus, we don’t hire a contractor for a major job who doesn’t have a brick and mortar location. NJ Kitchens and Baths was a nearby location we passed often in our trips on Bloomfield Avenue. They were one of several we started to research. The reviews were five star across various sites from customers who contracted with them. We set up an appointment for an initial discussion. From the get go, it was a positive experience We don’t have a big kitchen with many options for changes. But we were treated like the most important customers who stepped through their door. The products, process, and timing were spelled out for us. We committed to the next step of an on-site visit and measurements. At the on-site, we discussed some of the ideas we had and what some of our options might be. We were given great feedback and agreed to have some renderings done for the floor plan. Once we committed to the plan, selected our cabinets and countertop, we felt confident in our decision. Andrew, the owner, kept in regular contact with updates on a start time. One of the hidden benefits of using NJK&B was their providing us with a list of preferred vendors for plumbing supplies, appliances and tile. Dealing with those vendors facilitated the whole process. The vendors were knowledgeable salespeople who listened to our thoughts and directed us in the right direction. We were given a window of 6 - 8 weeks for the project. That included unforeseen construction issues and inspections. Darek and his crew showed up on time from day one. Darek did his best to assure us that he understood the inconvenience a kitchen renovation brings. During the daily visits, Darek ensured he asked the right questions of how we wanted things done. The crew cleaned up daily. The various contractors visits were seamless. The electrical contractor even identified a separate electrical issue that arose during the renovation (totally separate from their work) and took care of the problem. Work was done in 4 weeks. No major issues were found that delayed the project. The workmanship is truly old world talent. The crown moldings and floor moldings fit perfectly. And Andrew was always there for us. No email or phone call went unanswered. No surprise cost increases. We borrowed samples to coordinate tiles and paints. We felt an interested partner in working with him. From the beginning 3D design to the completion of the project it has been a pleasure to work with Andrew and his team. They were highly communicative and responsive and also professional and punctual. We requested a few changes to our original design and Andrew was very accommodating with the changes. These Guys REALLY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!!! Great job. Going to have them do another bathroom soon. Second review. We had them install a second bathroom with a washer room for our second floor apartment and it came out just as good or better. They work real hard and every day. Clean operations.
